Payment and Revenues Data for the 6th EITI Report for Liberia
The Liberia Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (LEITI) has hired the firm Parker & Associates in association with Moore Stephens LLP Company as its Reconciler/Administrator for the preparation of the 6th EITI Report for Liberia covering the period July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013.
In this vein, we are hereby informing all companies operating in the oil, mining, forestry and agriculture sectors of Liberia that a Technical Workshop will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 beginning at 8:00 A.M. to 2:30 P.M. at the P.A’s Rib House in Lapazee, Sinkor. The aims of the workshop are as follow:
· To discuss the revised approved LEITI Reporting templates along with the requirements thereof;
· To assess whether the reporting requirements are consistent with the new EITI rules adopted and adapted by the LEITI; and
· To address any issues or questions regarding the use of the template to prepare and submit the details of payments made and revenues received by each concerned company and relevant agency of Government during the period.
Every oil, mining, forestry and agriculture company that is operating in Liberia and/or has made payment(s) to the Government of Liberia (GOL) during the Fiscal Year July 1, 2012 up to and including June 30, 2013 is invited to attend the workshop. Each company is requested to be represented by no more than two (2) of its key personnel who are involved with financial/accounting matters and/or involved with the preparation of LEITI Reports.
Attendees at the workshop will have the opportunity to raise all and any questions relating to the preparation of their reports. Please note that the deadline for submission of reports (completed templates) for the 6Th LEITI Report will be two weeks after the date of the workshop that is Friday, June 19, 2015. Companies and agencies of government are strictly advised to adhere to this deadline.
